General model description

The 4MZD-3 cotton picker is an independently developed model by Shandong Swan Cotton Industrial Machinery Stock Co., Ltd., designed to meet the modern requirements of mechanized cotton harvesting. This model is specifically adapted for operation in Xinjiang, China's largest cotton-growing region, and is widely used by major agricultural holdings and farms.
Thanks to its well-thought-out design, high maneuverability, stable operation, and minimal failure rate, this machine has gained widespread recognition among users both in the domestic Chinese market and in over 30 countries worldwide. The cotton picker combines high productivity, intelligent control, and low operating costs, making it an optimal solution for large-scale cotton harvesting.

Design features and working units

PR016 assembly head

Equipped with three standard cleaning heads featuring optimized spindle trajectory geometry and adjustable drum rotation speed. The total number of spindles is 1680, ensuring dense cotton pickup without fiber damage. Collection efficiency reaches 93%, with no large impurities or debris in the finished raw material.

Cotton feeding and pressing system

The adjustable uniform feeding system with forced loading prevents clogging of working channels even when handling wet or densely grown cotton. The diameter of the pressing module is adjustable according to weather conditions, raw material moisture, and required bale density. The weight of the finished pressed module is 1400 kg, simplifying storage and transportation of the harvested cotton.

Power and transmission system

The combine is equipped with a reliable Cummins diesel engine with 325 horsepower (424 kW), adapted for prolonged field loads and temperature variations. An electronically controlled hydrostatic transmission ensures smooth gear shifting, and an optional 4WD system guarantees maneuverability on wet, uneven, and sandy fields. The working speed range in the field is from 0 to 7.1 km/h, and the transport speed on roads is up to 27 km/h.

Intelligent CAN-bus control system

The built-in digital control system based on the CAN bus performs continuous real-time monitoring of all key parameters: engine temperature, hydraulic system pressure, cotton moisture, and working unit status. In the event of malfunctions, an emergency alarm is activated. The proprietary software allows flexible firmware updates for new tasks and functional upgrades without replacing hardware components.

Premium operator cabin

The cab is designed according to automotive ergonomics standards, fully isolated from noise and dust. The operator's seat and all controls are adjustable to suit height and individual preferences. Standard equipment includes climate control (air conditioning), a USB port for charging devices, and a universal 12V power source. Electro-hydraulic gear shifting and a hydraulic clutch reduce the operator's physical strain during prolonged work.
